Sunday, 05/04/2025 - All Day
Saints Day
"Traditional Catholic Church"
Today the Traditional Catholic Church also celebrates the Feast of, Saint Monica, Widow. She was born in Africa, married her husband a pagan who she converted to the Catholic Church, and then by her tears and unceasing prayers, she converted her son Saint Augustine, who is regarded as one of the greatest Doctors of the Western Church. She faithfully passed away at Ostia in the year 387. The body of Saint Monica remained at Ostia until the year 1162, then when a Walter Prior, of the Canons Regular of Aroasia, in Belgium, removed her body secretly from the tomb and carried it to his own monastery. The celebration of her feast on May 4th spread from this monastery throughout Belgium, then Germany and France, and then through the whole Catholic Church.
