Saints Day
"Traditional Catholic Church"
Today the Traditional Catholic Church also celebrates the Feast of, Saint Gregory VII, Pope, Confessor. He was one of the most famous successors of Saint Peter. He was born at the foot of the Capitol, near the deaconry of Saint Mary in Portico, which he caused to be restored after he had become Pope, reconsecrating the high alter. Before ascending to the Papacy, Saint Gregory was known as Hildebrand, a monk of the Benedictine Order. As being a monk and Pope in the year 1073 he fought against the Temporal benefices of the Holy Church and the abuses that were within the Church. He is famous for the following words: "I have loved justice, I have abhorred iniquity, for these I die in exile." He faithfully pasted away in the year 1085.
