Saints Day
"Traditional Catholic Church"
Today the Traditional Catholic Church also celebrates the Feast of, Saint Margaret Queen of Scotland, Widow. She was the grandaughter of an English king. In the year 1070 she married Malcolm III of Scotland, and regned as queen of that country for twenty three years. Her acts of charity were numberless to the poor and saw that the laws of God and His Catholic Church were observed throughout her realm. Pope Innocent XII appointed June 10th for the observance of Her feast day. She was the guardian angel of her people, on account of which Clement X proclaimed her the patron of Scotland, was the personification of heroic virtue. She introduced the observance of Lenten fast, sanctified Sunday, and abolished superstitious practices. She faithfully past away after a long and serious illness in the year 1093.
