Today the Traditional Catholic Church also celebrates the Feast of, Saints Mark And Marcellianus, Martyrs. In the year 286, during the reign of Diocletian, Saint Mark and Saint Marcellianus, twin brothers, suffered martyrdom for the true Faith of Jesus and His true teachings of the Catholic Church. According to the Acta of Saint Sebastian, which do not, however, date from primitive times, Saint Mark and Saint Marcellianus, after having fearlessly confessed the Catholic Faith in the midst of torments, were on the point of denying it, being overcome by the tears of their parents who came to visit them in prison. Thus we see how great a danger to the souls of the Religious is to be found in unrestrained family affection as Saint Philip Neri well observes in reference especially to these two martyrs.
