Today the Traditional Catholic Church also celebrates the Feast of, Saint Stephen, Pope, Martyr. He was born at Rome during the reign of Valerian and Galienus, Saint Stephen was made Pope on May 3, in the year 253. He governed the Catholic Church for three years. He decided the questions of the validity of Baptism when administered by heretics, ordering that the tradition should be preserved according to which it was sufficient that they receive confirmation. He was beheaded during the celebration of Holy Mass, in the year 257, by the Emperor's soldiers while seated in his episcopal chair in the catacombs.
