Saints Day
"Traditional Catholic Church"
Today the Traditional Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of, Saint Dominic, Confessor. He was born in the year 1170, he was a native of Calaroga in old Castile, Spain, he was a member of the illustrious house of Guzman. He founded the Order of Friars Preachers, propagated devotion to the Holy Rosary, and saved the Western Church from the growing power of the Albigensian heresy. He led an extremely active life, preaching the Gospel, lecturing on theology and establishing houses of his Order. In the year 1208 while Saint Dominic was praying, our lady, the Blessed Virgin appeared to him, gave him the Rosary, and ask him to go fourth and preach. Rosary beads in his hands, he led the Catholic troops against the Albigensian's and crushed those heresy that were going on. Countless souls were brought back to grace by his words. His parents attributed his birth to the prayers of the holy Benedictine Abbot, Dominic of Silo; His mother saw in a vision her child in the shape of a little dog, holding a torch in his mouth. He became the great defender of the Catholic Doctrine, and the opponent of heresies. He Faithfully pasted away at Bologna, Italy, in the year 1221.
