Saints Day
"Traditional Catholic Church"
Today the Traditional Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of, Saint Augustine, Bishop, Confessor. He was born at Tagaste, Africa in the year 354. Monica, his mother, constantly prayed for his conversion after he left the faith in his early life. At thirty years of age, Saint Augustine finally received his baptism. At the age of forty one, he became a Catholic Bishop of Hippo. From this time until his death, he wrote voluminous works of Catholic teachings that have been the admiration for all ages. His sublime knowledge merited for him the title of one of the greatest Doctors of the Catholic Church. His body was saved by African bishops from the profanation of the Vandals. It was first taken to Sardinia, and then to Pavia, where it is still preserved in Ciel d'Oro.
