Today the traditional Catholic Church celebrates the feast of, Saints Eustachius, and Companions, Martyrs. Saint Eustachius, also called Placidus before his conversion, a military prefect, was martyred with his wife and children during the reign of Hadrian, after refusing to offer sacrifices to the false gods.
